This drawing was engraved inside atop Wuyue King Qian Yuanguan’s tomb chamber in 941. However, it was unearthed in 1965. Because of exquisite intaglio and accurate locating, 183 interlinked stars look vivid today. Research shows that it appeared 300-odd years ahead of a similar pattern of the Song dynasty. Besides, the former is 4 times larger than the latter. It is by far one of the earliest stone-carved star charts in the world.
