In 1882, Tongshan Charity’s supervisor carved the inscription on the stele. The title “Firefighting Drawing” is in fact Chen Qijin’s seal script while 8 characters are engraved in clerical script and seal script. Besides, Governor Dexin added a note at the bottom. The stele reflects a distinctive feature of non-governmental fire prevention practice.
