In 1208, Wang Jie’s record was engraved using Chen Yixin’s calligraphy. It says that a cemetery was built at the university for those deceased scholars from afar. Headmaster Dai Xi appropriated money for excavating tombs and ordered a man to guard it. The burial ritual and regulations on guard recruitment are indicated at the end of the record.
